  • 1. Performance and Application

Fly‑ash chelating agent is a modified heavy‑metal chelating agent specially developed for stabilization and solidification of municipal solid‑waste incineration fly ash. It is formulated according to fly‑ash composition, morphology and occurrence characteristics of heavy metals inside fly ash.

Tailored for domestic waste incineration processes, this product addresses the high heavy‑metal content in fly ash caused by incomplete waste sorting and complex pollutant composition. Featuring easy operation and low chemical cost, it can complete chelation for multiple co‑existing heavy‑metal ions in one‑step treatment. Treated fly ash complies with national standard GB16889‑2008 and meets landfill requirements. This series of heavy‑metal chelating agents delivers outstanding chelating performance for commonly exceeded heavy metals such as lead and zinc.

    2. Technical Specifications

    ItemIndex
    AppearanceColorless or pale‑yellow transparent liquid
    pH (Undiluted Liquid)≥9.0
    Specific Gravity (20℃, g/cm³)≥1.10

    3. General On‑site Treatment Process

    1. Fly ash collected from flue‑gas purification system is conveyed into ash silo, then quantitatively fed into kneader.
    2. Meanwhile, add 25%‑30% water (or landfill leachate) relative to fly‑ash mass per batch, mix with required dosage of metal chelating agent and inject into the kneader.
    3. Fly ash, water (or landfill leachate) and fly‑ash solidification chelating agent are briefly stirred inside the kneader, then discharged.
    4. Treated fly ash falls into ton bags below. After 24‑hour curing (subsequent reaction), the material can be transported to ordinary municipal solid‑waste landfill site.

    Notes:

    1. Dosage for sanitary landfill compliance: a) No cement added in treatment process: chemical dosage accounts for approx. 2%‑5% of fly‑ash mass. b) Cement added in treatment process: dosage of fly‑ash chelating agent can be increased accordingly.
    2. Recommended dosage for hazardous‑waste landfill compliance: dosage can be reduced by about 50% on the basis of item (a) above.

    4. Packaging and Storage

    1. Packed in 25 kg plastic drums, 1000 kg IBC tanks, or customized packages upon customer requests.
    2. This fly‑ash chelating agent has stable physical‑chemical properties. Store in cool and well‑ventilated place, shelf life: more than 12 months.

    5. Safety & Protection

Fly‑ash chelating agent is alkaline. Take labor‑protection measures during operation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
