Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate, also known as SDIC, is a new‑type broad‑spectrum systemic industrial bactericide. It can kill various bacteria, algae, fungi and pathogens. It features stable chemical properties for convenient storage and transportation, safe and simple operation, low dosage and long‑lasting efficacy.
Molecular Weight: 219.95
Molecular Formula: (C₃Cl₂N₃O₃)Na
CAS No:2893‑78‑9
Appearance: White powder, granules and flakes
Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate, also known as SDIC, is a new‑type broad‑spectrum systemic industrial bactericide. It can kill various bacteria, algae, fungi and pathogens. It features stable chemical properties for convenient storage and transportation, safe and simple operation, low dosage and long‑lasting efficacy.
Its working mechanism: when applied on substrate surface, it slowly releases hypochlorous acid (HClO). Pathogens are rapidly inactivated via denaturation of bacterial protein, alteration of membrane permeability, interference with physiological‑biochemical reactions of enzyme systems and inhibition of DNA synthesis.
Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate is applied for swimming pool water treatment and algae removal for industrial circulating water. It is used for disinfection of tableware, as well as preventive disinfection for households, hotels, hospitals and public facilities. It serves for environmental disinfection of breeding sites for fish, silkworm, livestock and poultry. In addition, it can be used for textile washing and bleaching, wool shrink‑proof treatment, paper mothproofing, rubber chlorination and battery materials.
