1. Performance and Application
WT‑312 total‑nitrogen remover is a fast‑acting, low‑consumption and non‑toxic small‑molecule carbon‑source supplement, also named compound carbon source or compound microbial carbon supplement agent.
- It is mainly used for total‑nitrogen removal. Combining the merits of multiple external carbon‑source agents, it features stable chemical properties, fast denitrification rate, low sludge yield, rapid adaptation of sludge microbes, excellent nitrogen‑removal performance and low operating cost. Suitable for emergency dosing in wastewater treatment plants, it helps meet discharge standards while cutting treatment expenses as a low‑cost total‑nitrogen remover.
- Biological nitrogen removal consists of nitrification and denitrification. Ammonia‑nitrogen in wastewater is first nitrified into nitrite and nitrate. In the subsequent denitrification step, nitrate serves as electron acceptor for cellular respiration and is reduced to nitrogen gas. Accordingly, readily biodegradable carbon sources are indispensable for nitrate‑targeted denitrification. Such carbon sources come from influent soluble BOD, cell lysates from endogenous denitrification and supernatant reflux. When influent soluble organics are insufficient while strict nitrogen‑removal requirements apply, external chemical carbon‑source supplements are required for denitrification.
- Applicable to municipal sewage and industrial wastewater to supplement carbon sources and adjust nutrient proportion for microbial nitrogen‑removal bacteria.
2. Usage & Dosage
Municipal sewage: 0.1‑0.25 kg compound microbial carbon supplement per ton of water.
Industrial wastewater: ≥0.15 kg per ton of water.
① Optimal dosing point: anoxic zone for better efficiency, lower consumption and minimal water‑quality impact.
② Hydraulic condition: Intense and short‑time mixing to achieve thorough blending of carbon source with wastewater.
③ For heavily‑polluted refractory wastewater: This neutral compound carbon source has strong shock‑resistance against water‑quality fluctuation and does not impair effluent quality. Gradually increase dosage to guarantee qualified discharge.
3. Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging: plastic drum (25 kg / IBC tote tank); custom specifications available upon request. Store at ambient temperature. Shelf‑life: 12 months.
4. Safety & Protection
WT‑312 Total‑Nitrogen Remover (Compound Carbon Source) is non‑toxic. Avoid skin and eye contact. Rinse with plenty of clean water upon contact.
