1. Performance and Application
- OFC‑611 oilfield ferric ion stabilizer is mainly composed of iron chelating agent and reducing agent. It is primarily used for oil‑gas well acidizing operations, and prevents formation damage caused by Fe3+ precipitation.
- During oil‑gas well acidizing, acid fluid dissolves ferric ions from downhole metal tubular strings and formation rocks. As acid fluid is gradually consumed and becomes spent acid, when pH rises to 2‑3, substantial Fe3+ precipitates and clogs formation pores, impairing acidizing performance. This ferric ion stabilizer inhibits re‑precipitation of Fe3+ through chelation, reduction and dispersion.
2. Technical Specifications
| Item | Index |
|---|
| Appearance | Yellow transparent liquid |
| pH | 3.0‑6.0 |
| Ferric Ion Stabilizing Capacity | ≥50 g/L |
| Thermal Stability (120℃) | ≥45 g/L |
3. Usage Method
- Recommended dosage in acid fluid: 0.5‑1.0 %. Dosage may be appropriately increased for acidizing treatment of formations with extremely high iron‑ore content.
- Add to hydrochloric acid at designed dosage during acid preparation and circulate thoroughly. It features good compatibility with various acid‑fluid additives, with no special requirements for feeding sequence.
4. Packaging and Storage
‑ JQSY ferric ion stabilizer has stable physical‑chemical properties. Store in well‑ventilated, cool and dry indoor place. Shelf life: 12 months.
‑ Packed in plastic drums, net weight 25 kg or 200 kg per drum; customized packages available upon request.
5. Safety & Protection
OFC‑611 oilfield ferric ion stabilizer is weakly acidic. Take protective measures during handling. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
