  • 1. Performance and Application

CM‑080 neutral degreasing‑rust‑removing agent is mainly composed of chelating agents, accelerators and corrosion inhibitors. It is widely used for pre‑commission surface rust‑removal cleaning of finished assemblies, steel‑made equipment, pipelines, wires and plates, as well as removing corrosion deposits on in‑service equipment.

    Product Advantages

    1. High‑quality performance: Thorough and uniform rust removal without large rust‑scale spalling; avoids blockage of narrow gaps and capillary tubes. No rinsing required after rust removal; passivation can be performed directly without impairing passivation‑film quality.
    2. Fast treatment: Complete rust‑removal within 6‑12 hours at 30‑80 ℃. When heated to 60 ℃, it provides passivation effect to prevent re‑rusting within short‑term period.
    3. Safe properties: Non‑toxic, odorless, non‑flammable and non‑explosive. Solution pH 6‑8 brings low corrosion toward equipment. It offers good corrosion‑inhibition for steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel and other non‑ferrous metals and their assemblies.
    4. Environment‑friendly: Both agent and cleaning waste liquid are neutral; free of strong acids, strong alkalis and heavy‑metal ions. Waste liquid can meet discharge standard after simple treatment.

    2. Technical Specifications

    ItemStandard Solution
    AppearanceLight‑yellow transparent liquid
    pH (stock solution)6.0‑8.0
    Density (20℃, g/cm³)1.10±0.05

    3. Usage Method

Dosage shall be determined according to on‑site process conditions. Normally add 5‑50 % CM‑080 into metered water. Carry out cleaning at 0‑80 ℃ for 6‑24 hours. Terminate cleaning when total iron ion concentration of system becomes stable. Drain waste liquid and perform direct passivation treatment; passivation may be omitted if rapid drying is achieved.

    4. Packaging and Storage

Standard packaging: 25 L plastic drums. Transported as ordinary liquid chemical reagent. Store indoors in cool and shaded environment. Shelf‑life: 1 year.

    5. Safety & Protection

Take labor‑protection measures during handling CM‑080 neutral degreasing & rust‑removing agent. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Rinse with plenty of clean water in case of contact.
