Phosphono Carboxylic Acid Copolymer (POCA)

POCA is modified by introducing phosphonic acid groups onto carboxylic‑acid backbones. It exhibits excellent dispersing performance against calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate scales in circulating cooling water, and effectively inhibits deposition of barium sulfate, strontium sulfate and silica scale. Compounding POCA with other organic phosphonates and copolymers can produce synergistic effects.
