Biocide 1227 is a cationic surfactant and non‑oxidizing biocide. It possesses broad‑spectrum bactericidal and algaecide capacity, effectively controlling reproduction of bacteria, algae and slime growth in water. It delivers favorable slime‑stripping performance as well as certain dispersing and penetrating effects. Meanwhile, Biocide 1227 has partial degreasing, deodorizing and corrosion‑inhibiting functions.
| Item | HG/T2230‑2006 | Liquid Grade | Solid Grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Colorless to slight‑yellow transparent liquid | Light‑yellow transparent liquid | Light‑yellow waxy solid |
| Active Substance Content % | ≥44.0 | ≥50.0 | ≥80.0 |
| Amine Salt Content % | ≤2.0 | ≤2.0 | ≤2.0 |
| pH | 6.0‑8.0 (raw liquid) | 6.0‑8.0 (raw liquid) | 6.0‑8.0 (1% aqueous solution) |
For biocidal and algaecidal treatment, normal dosage of 1227 is 50‑100 mg/L. For slime‑stripping purpose, dosage ranges from 200‑300 mg/L. Appropriate organosilicon‑based defoamer may be dosed when necessary. 1227 can be used in combination with other biocides such as isothiazolinone, glutaraldehyde and dithiocyanomethane for synergistic effect, while mixing with phenolic biocides is prohibited. After adding non‑oxidizing biocide, stripped contaminants may appear in circulating water; filter or skim them timely to avoid sediment after foam subsides.Do not mix Biocide 1227 with anionic surfactants such as polyacrylic acid and hydrolyzed polymaleic anhydride.
Biocide 1227 is packed in plastic drums: 25 KG or 200 KG per drum; 80 % content product is packed in 190‑KG drums. Store in cool and well‑ventilated indoor area. Shelf life: 12 months.
Biocide 1227 has a faint almond odor. It causes no obvious irritation to skin. Rinse contacted skin with clean water.
