Performance and ApplicationEQ‑505 reverse osmosis membrane cleaning agent is a high‑pH liquid‑formula alkaline RO cleaner, which mainly removes organic substances, colloids, microorganisms
EQ‑505 reverse osmosis membrane cleaning agent is a high‑pH liquid‑formula alkaline RO cleaner, which mainly removes organic substances, colloids, microorganisms, bacteria and particulate matter. Its excellent cleaning performance can extend the operating time of membranes.
▲ Applicable to aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis membranes, hollow‑fiber membranes, nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes.
▲ Adjust the pH of diluted solution to 11‑12.
▲ Better performance can be achieved when used together with EQ‑501 acidic membrane cleaning agent. It can remove oil stains and organic substances on membrane surfaces, and performs well in eliminating biological slime.
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Appearance | Colorless to pale‑yellow transparent liquid |
| pH (1% solution) | ≥10 |
| Specific Gravity (20℃, g/cm³) | 1.10±0.05 |
Calculate the dosing concentration of reverse osmosis cleaning agent according to water quality analysis report and system conditions. Normally, add the cleaning agent into the chemical tank at a typical working concentration of 2‑4 %.
▲ Inspect and flush the whole RO cleaning system to keep it clean.
▲ Before cleaning, identify the contamination type and root cause of RO membrane elements for targeted cleaning.
▲ After cleaning, analyze the causes of contamination and implement corresponding pre‑treatment preventive measures.
▲ During cleaning, keep the temperature of cleaning solution within the required range of 25‑35 ℃ at all times.
▲ Adopt the flow rate recommended by membrane manufacturer or reverse osmosis membrane cleaning agent supplier. In addition, flow rate and soaking duration shall be determined according to contamination type and severity of membrane elements. If no recommended value is available, technical engineers from JQSY can provide guidance based on actual system conditions.
▲ For heavily contaminated systems, consult technical engineers from JQSY for an optimized cleaning procedure.
▲ For multi‑stage RO systems, clean each stage separately for better results. If the cleaning solution turns turbid or pH goes beyond the recommended range, re‑prepare the solution or replenish membrane cleaning agent. Thoroughly rinse the system with RO product water before putting it back into service.
For EQ‑505 Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaning Agent (Alkaline Liquid), take proper labor protection during operation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of clean water.
