  • 1. Product Features

The EDI‑specific cleaning agent is suitable for cleaning complete EDI systems. It can effectively remove oil and organic substances from surfaces. Better performance can be achieved when alkaline EDI cleaning agent is used in combination with EQ‑511 acidic cleaning agent. Adjust the pH of diluted solution to 10.0‑14.0.

    2. Product Properties

    ItemSpecification
    AppearancePale‑yellow transparent liquid
    Density1.2±0.05 g/cm³
    pH10.0‑12.0
    Freezing Point<‑15℃

    3. Application Description

EQ‑511 EDI cleaning agent is a high‑pH liquid‑formula cleaner. It mainly removes oil, organic substances, colloids, microorganisms and particulate matter. EQ‑511 alkaline cleaning agent is applicable to cleaning of all types of EDI. Its excellent cleaning performance can extend the operating time and service life of EDI stacks.

    4. Dilution

Normal dilution ratio: 1.0‑3.0 % of the total volume of cleaning solution.

    5. Cleaning Instructions

▲ Inspect and flush the whole EDI cleaning system to keep it clean.

▲ Before cleaning, identify the contamination type and root cause of EDI components. Conduct targeted cleaning and avoid blind cleaning. After cleaning, analyze contamination causes and implement corresponding pre‑treatment preventive measures.

▲ During cleaning, keep the temperature of cleaning solution within the required range of 15‑38 ℃ at all times.

▲ Adopt the flow rate recommended by the EDI manufacturer or EDI‑specific cleaning agent supplier. In addition, flow rate and soaking duration shall be determined according to the contamination type and contamination severity of EDI components. If no recommended value is available, technical engineers from JQSY Water can provide guidance based on actual system conditions.

▲ For heavily contaminated systems, consult suppliers of EDI‑specific cleaning agents or EDI equipment for an optimized cleaning procedure.

▲ Before putting the system back into service, rinse thoroughly with EDI product water until TDS content is no more than 5 ppm and water pH returns to the normal range.

    6. Packaging Specifications

EQ‑511 EDI‑Specific Cleaning Agent (Alkaline) is packed in plastic drums, 25 kg per drum. It features stable physical‑chemical properties. Store in cool place. Shelf‑life: 3 years.
