1. Performance and Application

Hot‑water heating systems with water as medium are widely adopted for northern China winter heating. Some end‑users illegally draw heating hot water for bathing, laundry, mopping floor and car washing, resulting in water loss in heating network. Anti‑water‑loss odorant is added to address the following problems:

1. Excessive water loss breaks balance of secondary heating network and leads to abnormal heating supply.
2. Creates safety hazards for heating boilers of primary pipeline network, and may even cause system paralysis and severe accidents.
3. Wastes fuel, water and electric power, driving high heating‑operation costs.

2. Product Features

1. The heating‑system odorant generates strong pungent repulsive odor.
2. Low dosage, high odor intensity, fast effect, good thermal stability, easy operation; it can soften and stabilize water quality.
3. It effectively prevents man‑made system water loss and serves as an ideal energy‑saving agent to stop hot‑water theft. Widely applicable for hot‑water boilers and heating pipe networks equipped with various heat exchangers.

3. Usage Method

Calculate based on total water volume of heating‑boiler system: add 200 g odorant per ton of water. Initial dosage is calculated according to total system water capacity; for subsequent water make‑up, add 100 g per ton of supplemented water. One‑shot dosing can maintain effect for more than two weeks. Adjust dosage flexibly according to site conditions and water‑consumption status.

4. Packaging and Protection

GL‑080 odorant is packed in 25 kg plastic drums; customized packages are available upon customer requirements. The product is non‑toxic. Rinse thoroughly with clean water in case of skin splash.
