  • 1. Performance and Application

AG‑960 boiler‑special corrosion and scale inhibitor is mainly compounded of organophosphonic acid, polycarboxylic acid and alkaline synergist. It delivers outstanding corrosion‑inhibition and scale‑inhibition performance with good thermal stability. The agent is alkaline, whose pH value matches boiler‑water pH range.

It is suitable for internal water treatment of various low‑ and medium‑pressure boilers including heating boilers, steam boilers and locomotive boilers. It can also be applied for corrosion inhibition and scale prevention in water‑treatment systems such as seawater desalination, distillation and automobile water tanks.

    2. Technical Specifications

    ItemIndex
    AppearanceColorless to amber liquid
    Specific Gravity (25℃ g/cm³)1.10±0.05
    pH (1 % aqueous solution)≥10.0

    3. Usage Method

    1. Add 200 g agent per ton of boiler make‑up water. Perform blow‑down every hour for 5‑10 seconds. Increase dosage and blow‑down frequency for scaled boilers. Shut down boiler after 10‑20 days operation, manually clean stripped scale deposits to avoid pipeline blockage, then resume normal operation.
    2. Where conditions permit, control boiler‑water concentration multiple around 10 times. Adjust other parameters in compliance with labor‑department specifications (e.g. boiler‑water pH 10‑12).
    3. Use plastic dosing tanks. Cement‑made tanks shall be anti‑corrosion treated; otherwise they may be corroded and result in increased water hardness.
    4. Total hardness of boiler make‑up water shall be kept within 200 mg/L. Reduce hardness by lime method or other means if hardness is excessive, otherwise scale‑inhibition performance will be adversely affected.

    4. Packaging and Storage

    1. Standard packaging: 25 kg plastic drums; customized packages available upon user requirements.
    2. Stable physicochemical properties. Store in cool place. Shelf life: 12 months.

    5. Safety & Protection

AG‑960 boiler‑special corrosion & scale inhibitor (alkaline liquid) is alkaline. Take protective measures during handling. Avoid skin and eye contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
